CBC LADIES' BABY SHOWER FOR MICHELLE SAPPINGTON - The CBC ladies will be having a Baby Shower for Michelle Sappington on Sunday, August 15th here at the church. Please be here by 3:3...this is not floating. Paul and Michelle are expecting twins: a boy and a girl. They are registered at Wal-mart and Target. Please come out and help us celebrate this happy event!!

TEEN CAMP AT THE WILDS - Thirty-two of our Teens and Juniors will be leaving tomorrow to attend the WILDS Christian Camp in Brevard, NC. Please pray for safety and for God to work in each of their hearts.

EVANGELISM BOOT CAMP - This summer Pastor will be taking our teens through an eight-week Evangelism Boot Camp. Each session will be held on Wednesdays from 3-6:45PM and will include 1 1/2 hours of classroom training, and 1 1/2 hours of on-the-job training (witnessing). Teens should plan to bring $5 each week for supper. The dates are: June 2 & 30; July 14 & 21; August 4, 11, 18, and 25. Adults are welcome to participate as well. IRONMAN MINISTRY MEETING - Our next Men's Ironman Ministry meeting will be held Saturday, August 14 from 7:30-9:30AM at Golden Corral (40/42). The cost for the breakfast buffet is around $8. The purpose of this ministry is to provide men with accountability, to encourage spiritual conversation and fellowship among men and to promote the reading of spiritually challenging books.

THANK YOU FROM PASTOR - I would like to personally thank all the Team Leaders and all those in our CBC family that helped with the Family Fun Fest. How exciting to see our church family join together to reach out to our local community. My prayer is that God would continue to use this great event to reach people for Christ. FAMILY FUN FEST FOLLOW UP VISITATION - We will begin follow-up visitation of those who attended our Family Fun Fest this Thursday night at 7:00PM and Saturday at 10AM. Please make your plans to help us follow up on these fresh, new prospects.

TEEN CAMP PAYMENT DUE - The remaining balance for Teen Camp at the WILDS is due on July 18. Mr. Chad will be available after the service in the teen room to answer any question and collect payment. Please make your checks payable to Community Baptist Church.

SEMI-ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING - Our semi-annual business meeting is scheduled for next Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the end of our evening service. Please make your plans to attend.

FAMILY FUN FEST - CBC will be hosting the 5th annual Family Fun Fest, this Saturday, July 10th from 10AM-3PM. If you are signed up to work, please park here at the church between 8:30-8:45AM. Several vehicles will be used to shuttle our people over to the Family Fun Fest site. Child care is provided for worker's kids who are 3rd grade and under. We are in need of several vans to help shuttle our people over to the site. If you are willing to use your vehicle to shuttle people to the site, please see Mr. Chad after the service.

CANVASSING FOR FAMILY FUN FEST - The teens will be canvassing Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:00-8:30PM. We need several adult drives each night. Please see Mr. Justin to sign up.

COMMUNITY SUNDAY NEXT SUNDAY - Community Sunday is next Sunday at 10AM. Church members should plan to arrive early and park in the back parking lot. We are asking God to bring out at least 180 people. Please invite you friends and neighbors to our Family Fun Fest and special Community Sunday Service. Flyers can be picked up in the lobby.

NO EVENING SERVICE TODAY - There is no evening service today. We would like to encourage you to spend extra time on July 4th with your family and friends.

JULY 3RD PARADE, CANVASSING AND FIREWORKS SHOW - CBC will be canvassing for the Family Fun Fest and Community Sunday (July 11) at the local Greater Cleveland parade and fireworks show this weekend, July 3. For the first time, Commmunity Baptist will be entering a float in the Greater Cleveland Parade. We will also be setting up a CBC booth that evening to distribute fliers. We would like to encourage our entire church family to participate in both the parade and the evening canvassing. LADIES/TEEN PURSE SWAP - This Saturday, May 29 our ladies and teen girls will be having a purse swap from 9:30-11AM here at the church. Breakfast will be served followed by a short devotional. You can donate as many used purses or wallets as you like, but you will go home with only one. The remaining purses will be donated to a local women's shelter. Donations start today and can be given to Nancy Knight. We are also in need of 7 ladies to bring a breakfast casserole, 7 volunteers to bring sweet rolls and a few ladies to bring juice. If you are willing to help with any of these needs, please see Nancy Knight to sign up.

HAITI MISSION TRIP - Please pray for the Haiti Mission Team as they are away. Pray for power for Pastor as he preaches today at Hosanna Baptist Church in Jacmel. Pray that the believers will be encouraged, and that souls will be saved. Also pray for safety, good weather, and that God would allow the team to complete the construction of the home. The team members are Pastor Mike, Rich Wells, Alex Dunn, Jay Mashburn, Tim Beatty, Steve Parsons, Bret Hanks and Zach Anderson.

HAITI MISSION TRIP - MAY 14-22 - Please pray for the Haiti Mission Team as they leave this Friday evening. Pray for safety, power for Pastor as he preaches next Sunday at Hosanna Baptist Church in Jacmel, that believers would be encouraged, that souls would be saved, for good weather, and that God would allow the team to complete the home we are going there to build. MOTHER/DAUGHTER BREAKFAST - The CBC Children's Department (ages 3 through 6th grade) would like to invite you to a Mother/Daughter Breakfast at 9am this Saturday, May 15, at the church. Please see Monica Bryan to sign up.

NO EVENING SERVICE TODAY - Due to Mother's Day we will not have a PM Service today. We want to encourage you to spend extra time with your Mom.

EVANGELISM BOOT CAMP - This summer Pastor (with the help of Mr. Chad) will be taking our teens through an eight-week Evangelism Boot Camp. Each session will be held on Wednesdays from 3-6:45PM and will include 1 1/2 hours of classroom training, and 1 1/2 hours of on-the-job training (witnessing). Teens should plan to bring $5 each week for supper. The dates are: June 2 & 30; July 14 & 21; August 4, 11, 18, and 25. Adults are welcome to participate as well.
